Tips to Keep Your Top Floor Cool During Summer
Why Top Floors Get so Hot?
The prime reason behind top floors' unbearable heat is constant sun exposure. Continuous rays falling in the roof till evening makes it a whole night to radiate and get to normal. But the next morning! Same hitting problem.
Keep Your Windows Open
Always try to keep the windows open to vent out the hot air out of the room. This will also enhance the airflow in the house, filling the relatively cooler outside air inside the room. Especially if you have a south-facing window, try to keep that open always.
Open Doors Between the Rooms
By opening the doors in between the rooms, you can increase the airflow in the house, which will eventually lower the room temperature resulting in a relatively colder room.
Add Plants in the Balcony
You can plant small trees on your balcony to prevent sunlight and heat. Although there is no solid evidence behind this, it seems to work as trees breathe oxygen, and the air gets purified frequently.
